Recently there has been a resurgence in Podcasting, and I thought I’d offer my favorite podcasts relating to business and life.

1. The Tim Ferris Show

Good for: Inspiration, Investing, Creative Ideas

Tim Ferris is an author, entrepreneur, and successful investor. Tim regularly produces new podcasts with world-class performers from a wide spectrum of industries. Tim interviews everyone from scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs. Ferriss has an extremely captivating interview style where he is very invested in the people he speaks to.

2. The #ASKGARYVEE Show

Good for: Motivation, Dynamic Business Questions, Social Media Strategy

Like Tim Ferriss, Gary Vaynerchuk is also an author, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist. Gary who is an influential marketer in the world of social media. (The Ask GaryVee Show is a regular podcast where Gary answers questions via social media platforms. The show is great in that the information that Gary gives isn’t just philosophical, it’s practical advice relating to business and personal development.

3. Empire Flippers

Good for: Motivation, Dynamic Business Questions, Social Media Strategy, Online Business Strategys

The Empire podcast was launched by Justin Cooke and Joe Magnotti almost five years ago. The two entrepreneurs have bootstrapped their online marketplace to 4 million in sales. The duo tackles questions in the online world around online marketing, business and the digital nomadic lifestyle.

4. StartUp

Good for: Startup life, Startup culture, Venture Capital, Angels, Startup Psychology

StartUp is a podcast series about what it’s really like to get a business off the ground. In Season 1, Alex Blumberg told the story of launching this business, Gimlet Media, a podcast network. In Season 2, Lisa Chow joined Alex to follow an entirely new company: a company called Dating Ring, founded by two women in their 20s, outsiders in the male-dominated world of Silicon Valley.

5. Tropical MBA

Good for: Digital Nomadic Lifestyle, Running Location Independent Businesses, Productized Services, Making Money Online

In late 2007, Dan Andrews and Ian Schoen started a product design and e-commerce company that grew to multi-seven figures in annual revenues. The two then sold that business in 2015. The two conduct a weekly Thursday morning podcast, where they talk about their business as well as interview entrepreneurs that are on their own journeys. The two talk about building wealth in ways that include but are not limited money. Other factors come into their perspective of business like happiness and world travel.
